Athens

We just got back from a day of hiking around all the amazing ancient ruins of Greece! We went up to the Acropolis and saw the Parthenon and other ruins that surround it. It was unreal to see it so up close. Next we walked around in Ancient Agora which was the cool hangout place of ancient Greece. It was first built in the 6th century BC! Socrates used to spend a lot of time there pondering the meaning of life and such. We also saw the Temple of Zeus and many other sites as well.

We have been in Athens for three days now and leave tomorrow. Tonight we are hoping to see some traditional Greek dancing!

City at sunset. That's the Acropolis way in back. Not such a clear picture.

  1. Hey guys, Your stay in Greece sounds absolutely wonderful. Your days are numbered now, aren't they? Home in a week, then on to "Paradise" here on Duck Cove. Doesn't get a heck of a lot better than that, does it?? Mom wil be home shortly, so she and Maury have to get their act together and plan their trip here. It's time to party hearty!!
Travel safely and enjoy the rest of your journey!
Lots of love from the Mighty DCD
